Somehow, someway, the award winning bowlegged poet-turned-filmmaker from Midlothian, Virginia, is now getting his 7th feature film produced, Deadly Punkettes. The film will depict the gritty Neapolitan rise and fall of 4 prissy teenage punk-rock princesses, who’ll have to maintain well-rounded riots even after a founding member mysteriously dies, and haunts their act!

The picture might just be the first of its kind, melding an all-girl group novelty with paranormal terror. The plot twists hardly promise to be tame, and the predictability of this particular writer’s track record could convince us the story will be chock full of sassy, silly, and seductive female characters.

Meet the band… On bass guitar and vocals … the daring and diverse D’Lannie Brown, as Aspen, a simple girl who’s about to become enchanted by a new set of illusions in her life … and death. On guitar … the delicate and dear … Claire Gordon-Harper, as Carby Kelp, an Emo who finds her jailed-daddy’s guitar and learns to play it. On drums … from the Land of Unicorns … Danielle Stavin as Zeb, an insecure, experimental school-girl that wants to be different. On keyboards … the shining star and grenade of harmony … Madeline McGrane, as Rainy, a chick who cashes in on keys and signs receipts for cooking hooks and hits.

Dave Knapp plays the band’s first manager, who helps shape their sound, before getting replaced by Sicily Mane, portrayed by sweet-maker Jackie Shea, the big shot mink wearin’ record producer, who takes on the band with her own hidden agenda, to fill the package with her bed pet, Jocelyn Winters, played by the loveliest of lovelies and Michelangelo’s day-mare, Skylar Ripp. MoreHorror’s very own rock opera of the screen, Dawna Lee Heising, plays Gladys Kang, the Gold Mag Enterprise mogul who sniffs out every trick and has better ears than anybody.

Slink star Julia Faye West plays Missy, the super sexy step mom who’s still staying around to reap the benefits of being a home body, long after daddy left to serve a life term. Alexia Padilla is rumored to play Edith, the poser, band photographer, who some how never knew she was actually a looker.

The picture also rumors to include James Duval, Nick Stahl, Jen Lee Nielson, Porter Wiley, Elizabeth Peterson, Sacha Victoria Mederos, Lauren S. Reible, Bahia Garrigan, Rachel Brann, Ashley Whelan, Lourdes Narro, Ella Arro, Ayara Anai, Katherine Cronyn, Rachel Verret, Diana Castelan, Jesyka Noelle, Anthony Del Negro and Lauren Volkes.

Produced by Julia Faye West, Sunny Vachher, Seth Metoyer, Kamuela Kim with Executive Producer David Petovar adding to the score, along with original music by D'Lannie Brown, Eva Landon, Sean Gibson, plus Alison Ketley, Becky Skerratt and Deborah Welch of Teela (UK’s best girl-band trio).

The film will be shot in striking high definition by the masterful Tim McCombe, with special effects and production design by Billy Hendrickson. Jared Masters directs, in affiliation with Frolic Pictures and Dismal Productions. Filming is set for early October, for late Spring 2014 release.
